Frank Quitely
Quitely began his comics career writing and drawing for Scottish underground comic Electric Soup where he adopted his nom de plume. This then led to work on 2000AD including Judge Dredd. His US comics breakthrough title was the Flex Mentallo mini series for Vertigo in 1996 which began the first of many collaborations with Grant Morrison.
Since then he has drawn JLA: Earth 2, The Authority with Mark Millar, New X-Men, Sandman, We3, Batman & Robin and 2004's All Star Superman series for which he and Morrison received numerous industry awards and nominations. More recently he drew Pax Americana, part of the Morrison penned Multiversity arc and is currently finishing off the second series of the creator owned, Jupiter's Legacy.
Outside of comics he has designed record covers, written an animated short and designed tarot cards for popstar Robbie Williams. His work can also be found gracing the Radisson Red hotel in Glasgow and limited edition Bowmore whisky packaging.
He was the subject of a major career retrospective at the Kelvingrove art gallery in Glasgow which featured the largest ever display of his original artwork in 2017.
